Craik, SK and Community
There is a tremendous amount of
excitement in the Craik community as we look at the past few years
and forward to this year, and beyond! Our community is neatly
situated along Louis Riel Trail (Highway 11) roughly half way
between Regina and Saskatoon and is only a 40 minute drive from
Moose Jaw making it easily accessible to all 3 major centres.
Craik has been recognized world wide for its Sustainable Living Project especially "The Eco-Centre." It is truly an amazing structure utilizing some of the most current environmental and sustainable technology available. With a beautiful 9 hole golf course, club house and pro shop, the Solar Garden restaurant, and a quiet and relaxing regional park nearby, it has now become a "can't miss" destination for people of all ages.
Enthusiasm, a helping hand, community spirit and friendship are what binds us all together to make Craik and surrounding area a great place to call home.
Craik Mayor Rick Rogers and R.M. of Craik No. 222 Reeve Hilton Spencer welcome you to our community, "The Friendliest Place by a Dam Site" and thank you for making Craik a holiday destination or your home!
Come and experience the feeling!!
A bustling Economy
Agriculture has long been the driving force behind our local economy. "Viterra", one of the worlds largest grain companies has been in the community for many years reaching back to its days as the Sask Wheat Pool. "Harvest Services" has been a mainstay in Craik as well for years manufacturing after market parts for combines and sells its products world-wide and employs a number of our local residents. "Titan Clean Energy" is new to Craik and is doing ground-breaking work; the bio-refinery concept they have developed diverts waste from landfills, processes that waste into high quality products, and sequesters carbon though the production of biochar. This endeavor fits nicely into the mold we have developed for the community and is very exciting! "Last Mountain Rail" and "Mobil Grain" have together re-opened the rail line between Craik and Lumsden and have begun to ship grain cars on a line that has been closed for many years! Exciting? You bet it is. And there is more to come and you could be a part of that excitement and growth!!
Our Door is Always Open!

The Craik community has an abundance informative activities to keep you busy throughout the year. The Craik Eco-Centre and 9 hole grass greens golf course, the beautiful Arm Lake (locally known as the "Craik Dam," our lush and vibrant Regional Park, our "giant" round swimming pool, the "Eco-Village," Trails End Guest Ranch, Craik Memorial rink for skating and curling events, the Old Town Hall, our ever-expanding Heritage Museum and parks and playgrounds for the kids. Whether coming for a visit or coming to stay, we welcome you to enjoy what Craik has to offer!
