Fun Facts:
The Craik and District Regional Park
was first opened in 1967. Over the next few years many improvements were done
leading up to the official opening in July of 1971 to coincide with the
Saskatchewan Homecoming of 1971.
Brake Howarth was the first sec /
treasurer and head of the development committee.

Fun Facts:
The swimming pool at the Craik park
was built in 1967. It has undergone many improvements over the years but the
size and shape remains the same today.
It has a 3m diving board and a
floating raft.
Each summer they host a series of
swimming lessons for children of all ages.
There are also certified life
guards that are on duty during all public swimming hours!

Fun Facts:
The
Craik Memorial Rink was built between 1947 and 1949. There was a
special guest speaker at the opening ceremonies in
December of 1949. “WHO” was that special guest?
John
Diefenbaker
who went on to become the
Prime Minister of Canada; And he was from Saskatchewan!
